The Contra-Shear Milliscreen range is
built for durability and superior solid-liquid separation performance. They are optimized
for flow rates and solid loadings and features the followings :
Superior Solid-Liquid Separation Performance:

surface in relation to the influent flow.

Delivers Consistent De-watering solids:
* The Contra Shear screening process
incorporates discrete design sections within the
screen to produce consistent
levels of
de-watering solids.
* The original patented single weir design and
controlled fluid dynamics within the screen are
essential to high solid
recovery.
Operating Process:
Influent enters the infeed tank, which is
designed to control fluid dynamics. The single sided discharge weir presents the
influent tangentially onto the screen face where liquid-solid separations
occurs. Fundamentally to the separations process is the "Contra-Shear"
action which is produced by the direction of the rotating drum rotation relative
to the direction of the influent flow. This is a continuous process aided by an
automatic sparging system which ensures the screen surface is maintained clean
& free of solids build up. The separated solids gravitate & accumulate
down the screen face and are moved by diverter plates, as the drum rotates, to
the drainage area and discharge point.
