Operating Process:
The influent enters the in-line, in-channel,
semi-submerged screen undergoing a 90 deg. change in direction as it flows
through the Vee-Wire slots for further processing. critical to the screens
consistent performance is the wash sparge system which ensures that a clean
screen face is always presented to the influent stream. This is provided by two
external sparges generally supplied with screened effluent to conserve water and
reduce cost. The solids captured by the screen are transported by the drum
rotation and lifting staves and are deposited in the discharge flume. water is
used to transfer the screenings to the integral Drainer Screw Press where they
are Drained-Transported-Compacted & Discharged.

Various sizes of screw press are available to
convey the solids and remove water to give out drier solids for easy handling.
