JOHNSON INTAKE SCREENS
REDEFINE SIMPLICITY, EFFICIENCY AND ECONOMY INTAKE

screens are used for suction of large amount
of water from dams, reservoirs, rivers etc.

High volume users of surface water encounter several  problems with conventional
intake systems.  Aquatic life becomes  entrained.  Screen drive systems fail.  High
entrance velocities impinge debris  on the screen surface.  We've solved all these
problems with our Johnson intake screen system.

# With no moving parts, mechanical  problems are non-existent.

# Entrance velocities of only 0.1 foot-per-second allow minimal debris capture.
Fish may also move freely past.

# The inwardly-enlarging slot prevents
near-size particles from lodging.

# Our screen can be build with our proprietary
Z-alloy to repel mussels.

# Multiple, smaller Johnson screens can be
mani-folded to create a high capacity
system for even shallow water bodies.

# The entire intake system is submerged - no
intrusions into the environment.

# On those rare occasions when extreme debris   loading could cause partial surface blinding, a remote controlled  air backwash system can be incorporated.

# Design flexibility lets us create a system of any specified  capacity for nearly any site conditions, water quality and climate.

# Size Ranges from 1 1/2 inch diameters to 32 inch diametres.

Multiple screen arrangements can be designed to accommodate any condition
